      <description>There is no sense in limiting the password to "predefined wild characters." You should be validating at most the presence of 1 or more letters, 1 or more digits, and 1 or more special characters along with a minimum length.</description>

      <description>It's wrong, it works on some phone numbers only by luck. You confused curly brackets with square brackets, and there's an abnormal use of pipes. This one is correct:
